A Search for Truth and Wisdom
I created this homepage so that I could share my experiences learning life's profound secrets. I am a teacher, tennis player and coach. The game has been a metaphor for the lessons I am learning in life. Success on the tennis court and life did not come easy for me. I was able to master the physical skills long before I was able to cultivate the self-discipline to enjoy the activity to the fullest. When I was in my late thirties it seemed that my tennis game had reached a plateau and I wasn't playing to my full potential. My old habits of thinking and feeling were getting in my way, causing me to self-destruct. I went looking for the answer to the question, "How do winners think?" This quest influenced my reading and studying of psychology, philosophy, religion and biographies focusing on successful people. The synthesis of this information caused the writing of my second book "The Making of a Winner." I found -- "If we learn the spiritual laws that govern excellence, then the physical skills move to a higher level with greater speed." The main thing which holds us back is fear. If we learn to use our thoughts and emotions constructively, we can walk through the fear to experience hope and joy. The books and tapes have been used by young and old alike to better understand the game of tennis and life. Mr. Lovano is the inspirational teacher and guide in the books I have written - if you wish to consult with Mr. Lovano here is his email address .
